PATENT DIVISION
The firm's Patent Division is staffed by 57 Patent Attorneys admitted to the Japan Patent Attorneys Association (JPAA), and assisted by 15 technical staff (as of April 1, 2012). According to the technical expertise of each patent attorney, the division has been organized into three groups: Chemical, Electrical/Electronical and Mechanical Groups. As a result of flexible development of each group, the range of our professional expertise successfully covers all the fields of technology including Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Aerospace Engineering, Mechatronics and Computer Sciences. Three secretariat groups of domestic and international formalities as well as patent administration are also included in the Patent Division. Due to the co-operation and support from the secretariat groups, we are able to perform global protection of Patent and Utility Models.
